  I hesitate at giving advice - but if they could physically cope with it, I would not go easy.

  I would make it clear to my parents (in verbal word) that I loved God, and that they serve men - that you are in not the slightest doubt.

  And emphatical that you know the wtbts' to be just miserable mess of men who have applied spiritual teachings to flesh, and that you won't have anything to do with such a darkness of intellect, not now, not ever. And refuse your reply as to how or why you know. AND, make sure he well understands that it is HIS responsibility that he has delivered his family into the hands of men, not yours.

  NO RETREAT in your verbal stand whatsoever - you both love God and reject his org. - no anger, no heatedness, just resolute assurance. Explain that if he wants to serve men then that's his choice - as he's an adult - but it's ridiculously unreasonable to expect you to do such a thing, knowing that they are simply a sham of charletons - that it is not you who are disturbed by the speak of men - that you are a man.

  Personally I'd chew them right out.

  I maybe tired looking at this screen, but I didn't read anything about being "sent to hell" in the original post. Where is this guilty shit coming from? (Who told you that you were naked?)

  Jws have read a spiritual book for the spirit and applied it to the flesh - simple as that - for whatever reasons they are, fact is they're blinded to truth.

  This thread sounded like "if jws aren't right then jesus is an asshole or doesn't exist", because we're not "buying" anything else.

  Well, you never had to "buy" anything in the first place. There was nothing for sale and that's the way it still is. Don't pay for 'nothing' - just accept the freebee.

  i spoke with my sister on the phone today who still attends meetings.

  the co visit was last week and she said in his talk he related the bible story of joseph and potaphers wife and he made the statement that joseph was a pedephile and that is why he went to prison.. where in the world could the wt be going with this line of reasoning?

  So, by accusing Joseph of being a paedophile, after a bit of jail time the 'paeds' should be God's chosen ones too - they're ok, just a bit imperfect, and things will be cool soon.

  I don't think it'll work.

  - but, then again, the world was supposed to end in 1975 and people are still goin to those halls hoping to recoup on that framework of lies.

  relying on HER capacity to love, he went on to reveal to her where they had gone - so in her capacity, not knowing of 'boundaries', she even went to THAT place for them - so now they have their very own 'Jesus' to do things to - as they please and as they're told to.

  it is implied that she is the start of the downfall of a nation and the corruption of her brothers.

  and that she went out to see girls she was not to go and see.. but who does the bible blame and what is the story here?

  I would say that Dinah was very giving, and too innocent to understand the impropriety of the relationship - how Shechem desired her - her beautiful countenance.

  But even so, Jacob was forgiving, and had the foreigners come to understand their love of God, things would have gone well. But, Shechem thought could earn what he desired if he did what he thought was asked - and so proceed to try and buy.

  The brothers of course didn't have Jacob's patience, and couldn't cope with having a dark minded sod trying to buy their sister - so they didn't wait.

  i just got the october 15th 2002 issue of the watchtower magazine.

  on pages 8 and 9 we see a caption reading " jesus firmly opposed the devil".

  jesus is standing there pointing at a slouching, hooded man.

  I just wanted to thank you for putting in work behind that show. I personally don't have contact with any victims of sexual abuse, and so I wonder about being 'cold' r distant to it all - but I do know that I want to inform the world of the risk that they may be 'getting into bed' with liars. After that, I should say that many abuse problems will be dealt with appropriately.
